Collagen Stimulating Treatments

Collagen Stimulating Treatments

Collagen is a protein that is naturally produced in the body. Its main purpose is to provide your skin with structure and strength within your bones. Over time, as we age, collagen levels can begin to reduce causing our skin to lose elasticity and appear less full. Here at ØNE aesthetic studiø, we provide several collagen for face treatments that help to stimulate the production of collagen in the skin and help your skin to look more youthful. The collagen-stimulating treatments that are available include:

– Juvederm Volite

– Mesotherapy

– Dermaroller™

– ULTRAcel (combined with FRM)

– Profhilo®

Juvederm Volite

Juvederm Volite aims to reduce the effects of ageing and skin damage through hyaluronic acid techniques. These effects of ageing and skin damage are caused by extreme exposure to the skin and excessive smoking.

The procedure takes around 30 minutes using injections to insert the hyaluronic acid into the areas that require to be treated. The results leave your skin replenished and looking more youthful and healthy, holding the moisture into the skin to provide smoother and firmer looking skin. In order to maintain the results, it’s recommended having a healthy lifestyle and having the treatment around 2-3 times a year.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is another treatment that helps to improve the appearance of the skin. It can make the skin appear firm and provide it with the radiance that it deserves and is commonly used by celebrities within the industry.

The treatment uses micro-injections which are injected underneath the skin’s surface using vitamin & hyaluronic acid. The collagen injections treatment increases collagen production and results in better elasticity and texture of the skin, replacing the vitamins and minerals that are usually lost via lifestyle factors and ageing. It can also be used in combination with other treatments such as chemical peels to help maintain the effects of the treatment.

A full course would require around 4-5 weekly sessions initially. This then reduces to 2-3 times on a monthly basis. In order for the results to be maintained, returning to the clinic for further collagen injections treatment every 3-6 months helps to keep the results intact.

Dermapen™

Dermapen™ is very safe and effective collagen stimulating treatment for several skin rejuvenation conditions. Examples of conditions that can be treated through Dermapen™ include:

– Acne

– Trauma

– Surgery

– Burns

– Stretch Marks

– Sun Damaged Skin

– Wrinkles

– Fine Lines

– Pigmentation

It is a great way to boost skin elasticity and restore the loss of life in the skin.

The treatment requires anaesthetic cream being applied to the skin to help numb the area. Dermapen™ techniques are combined with microneedles to make little punctures in the skin. This encourages the skin to restores the punctures that have been formed, increasing the amount of collagen production and repairing the skin. This results in a smoother complexion of the skin and decreasing visible scars or imperfections that were originally on the skin.

3-4 sessions every 6 weeks will be required as part of the course. This is so the time taken in between the treatments allows the skin cells to grow and gives collagen production time to grow. After each treatment, you should initially expect to see redness on the treated areas for around 24 hours.

ULTRAcel (combined with FRM)

ULTRAcel tightens the skin by treating the skin cells beneath the surface. It does this by combining ultrasound and radiofrequency technology to specifically target deep tissue to provide firm and smooth skin.

There are several conditions that can be treated by ULTRAcel including:

– General skin tightening around the brow, face, neck and jaw areas

When combined with FRM:

– Skin tightening around the eyes, top lip, mouth, jowl area, chest, hands, neck and other body parts.

– Acne

– Open pores

– Stretch marks

– Wrinkles after liposuction

How often you’ll need the collagen stimulating treatment will be dependent on the area that you require to be treated and the quality of your skin. It is recommended that top-up sessions are attended for areas such as the neck, face and brow around 3-4 months after receiving the treatment.

Profhilo®

Profhilo® is another form of treatment that can be used as a form of collagen stimulating treatment. It uses 100% Hyaluronic Acid that is inserted into the skin via injections which helps to boost collagen production by nourishing the dermal cells in the skin.

It can be used on several areas of the body including the face, neck, arms, hands and knees. Generally, patients tend to choose this form of treatment when they are witnessing dull, ageing and saggy skin. However, a consultation before you go ahead with any treatment will help to determine whether you’re the right candidate for Profhilo®.
