Dermapen Facial Treatment

Dermapen Facial Treatment

What Is A Dermapen Facial Treatment?

A Dermapen facial treatment is selected by patients when they have skin conditions and can treat a variety of these including:

– Acne

– Trauma

– Burns

– Stretch Marks

– Hyperpigmentation

– Sun-damaged Skin

– Fine Lines

– Wrinkles

It is safe and highly effective. It can also help to improve skin tightening which will provide the skin with elasticity and healthier-looking appearance.

What happens during the treatment?

During the procedure, in order to ensure that your skin is safe, an anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area that’s due to be treated. It’s here where the Dermapen is used to create tiny punctures in the skin. These puncture’s help to stimulate collagen production in the skin by activating the skin fibroblasts cells.

What are the advantages of Dermapen facial treatment?

The purpose of the Dermapen facial treatment is that it repairs and rejuvenates the skin to provide a smoother complexion. This happens because the treatment helps to reduce the appearance of scars and imperfections. It works similar to the Dermaroller treatment but the concept of injecting the treatment via a pen means it can be more effective. This is because it’s a super-seeded form of the Dermaroller treatment which means it can help to control the target depth and vary it depending on the area being treated and how much is required.

The recovery time is quicker as the treatment can be less painful. The treatment can also be more flexible, catering it to each individual patient because of the ability to change the needle depth in the pen. This means that particular conditions can be targeted more specifically and easy to manoeuvre around the contours of the face.

Are there any risks or complications with the treatments?

You should expect redness to occur around 24 hours after the treatment. This is rather common with treatment so if these occur don’t be alarmed

How many treatments are required for Dermapen?

In order to ensure that you get the best possible results, it’s advised that you should take a course that is around 3-4 sessions, 6 weeks apart. The reason for the 6-week gap is so the skin has the opportunity to grow and collagen production to be boosted and provide a more youthful look.

Would I be suitable for this treatment?

Dermapen facial treatment is suitable for the majority of patients. Patients with darker skin types tend to not be suitable for the treatment due to deeper chemical peels, but this will also be suitable.
