Our skin can lose its lustre and tone when it is subjected to environmental factors and lifestyle influences. The skin loses its elasticity over time and fine lines and wrinkles can form. Juvederm Hydrate® is a hyaluronic acid-based product which counters the effects of aging and damage caused by the sun and smoking. It restores and replenishes the skin on the face, neck, décolletage and hands, resulting in a healthy, natural glow.
The procedure takes about 30 minutes, during which Miss Chantrey injects very small amounts of Juvederm Hydrate® into the areas to be treated. Juvederm Hydrate® provides deep hydration and helps to ‘hold’ moisture under the skin to create a radiant complexion. Skin will appear firmer, smoother and more vibrant. Along with healthy lifestyle measures and skincare, these treatments 2 or 3 times per year can maintain glowing skin for years .
Miss Chantrey is the industry expert in the use of Juvederm Hydrate®. She has demonstrated its use on Channel 4’s ‘Embarrassing Bodies’ and ITV’s ‘Morning Surgery’. Her expertise in the product has been quoted in Tatler magazine and The European Aesthetics Guide.
Mesotherapy is a treatment Miss Chantrey often recommends for those who wish to improve their skin’s radiance, firmness and vitality. It is an excellent way to achieve the subtle beauty preservation for which we all strive. It is a celebrity and industry secret – giving beautiful, glowing skin.
The treatment involves multiple micro-injections of a vitamin & hyaluronic acid cocktail under the skin’s surface, which stimulates collagen production and improves the elasticity, pigmentation and texture of the skin. It replaces the essential vitamins, minerals and hyaluronic acid that is lost with lifestyle factors and ageing. Miss Chantrey usually combines her mesotherapy with customised micro-peels that keep the skin highly conditioned. A regular course of treatment consists of 4-5 weekly sessions, followed by 2, 3 monthly sessions. Patients love the results and attend for maintenance every 3-6 months to keep the skin refined and bright.
Chemical peels are specialised chemical solutions, carefully applied to the skin to remove the damaged outer layers.
The chemicals used are different medical acids, which each have a different purpose. After a full medical consultation and skin assessment, Miss Chantrey will adjust the strengths and content of the peel to meet your specific needs. Miss Chantrey only uses top quality skincare products and chemical peel systems including Obagi, Skintech and Filorga.
An individual maintenance programme will be prescribed to keep your skin in the best possible condition which includes medical skincare and sun damage education. In particular, the Obagi NuDerm system is excellent for patients with darker skins.
What can I improve with a chemical peel?
- Sun-damaged skin
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Dull, lack lustre complexion
- Irregular skin pigmentation
- Rough skin and scaly patches
- Acne or acne scars
- Age spots
Light chemical peel (eg. Glycolic, Salicylic, Easyphytic etc.)
Light chemical peels are excellent for treating uneven pigment, dryness, acne or fine wrinkling. Light peels remove only the outer layer of skin (epidermis) in a light exfoliation, resulting in a healthier glow. These treatments tend to be delivered as a course over a number of weeks to achieve the desired results. An individual maintenance programme will then be prescribed to keep your skin in the best possible condition.
Medium chemical peel (15 – 20% TCA, eg. Easy TCA)
Acne scars, deeper wrinkles, uneven skin colour / texture and severe sun damage can all be treated with a medium chemical peel. This will remove skin cells from both the outer layer of skin (epidermis) and upper part of the middle layer of skin (dermis). These treatments may be prescribed as part of a course or as a maintenance after deeper peels. They are excellent in safely treating most skin complaints and can achieve even better results than some deep peels or laser treatments which may have more risks associated.
All patients require specific skincare and sun protection before and after these peels.
Deep chemical peel (> 23% TCA eg. Unideep Peel, Obagi Blue Peel)
Deep chemical peels are highly specialised and must only be carried out my qualified, experienced doctors. Miss Chantrey has many years of experience working in Wound Healing Research and Tissue Regeneration as well as using these products in the Cosmetic Surgery industry.
Miss Chantrey has been recognised as the key expert in Dermaroller™ techniques. She has been invited to demonstrate the technique many times including: Channel 4’s ‘Embarrassing Bodies’, ITV ‘Morning Surgery’ and for the media at The Members Club of The Ivy. Dermaroller™ is a safe, highly effective technique used to treat patients with a variety of skin conditions. It is excellent for scar repair, particularly those caused by acne, trauma, surgery or burns. It can also help with stretch marks, hyper-pigmentation, sun-damaged skin, fine lines and wrinkles. Dermaroller™ is an excellent way to restore the skin’s natural scaffolding, boosting skin elasticity and lift.
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied one hour before to the areas that are to be treated. Miss Chantrey uses a variety of roller devices with micro-needles which create tiny punctures in the skin. This action activates the skin’s fibroblasts cells, which, in turn, stimulates collagen production. The aim is to encourage repair and rejuvenation of the skin for a fresher and smoother complexion, whilst dramatically reducing the appearance of scars and imperfections.
Patients undergoing this procedure can expect redness of the treated areas for up to 24 hours afterwards. To get the optimum results, a course of 3 to 4 sessions, 6 weeks apart, is recommended. The time left between sessions allows the skin cells to grow, boosts blood supply to the treated areas and maximises collagen production for a natural and more youthful look.
